A new Me 262 blueprint joins Blue Galaxy Designs

The Me 262 has long fascinated aviation enthusiasts not only because of its historical importance, but also because of its unmistakable engineering and appearance. That made it a natural subject for a new Blue Galaxy Designs technical illustration.
As with my other aircraft designs, the artwork was created manually, combining research and technical references to produce a detailed blueprint-style representation of this extraordinary aircraft.
The new Messerschmitt Me 262 design is available in two formats:

The Me 262 arrived too late and in too few numbers to fundamentally alter the outcome of the Second World War, but its broader significance goes well beyond its combat record. It demonstrated that the transition from piston engines to jet propulsion was no longer experimental—the jet age had arrived.
More than eighty years later, its combination of history, engineering and distinctive design continues to make the Messerschmitt Me 262 one of the most fascinating aircraft ever built.
