Fictional Boarding Pass Series

I’ve had a lot of fun creating this series of illustrations inspired by a hypothetical Interplanetary Transport System spanning the whole Solar System, the galaxy, and the entire universe. I can picture an ordinary worker on a Monday morning, coffee in hand and checking the day’s news on his wrist console, catching the express shuttle from Oberon to get to work at the helium extraction plants on Uranus. Or an entire family taking off on a Friday afternoon, watching the sunset over some corner of Earth through the windows of the Orion spacecraft, bound for the Artemis Base on the Moon, with a connecting service to the Apollo XI Memorial Visitor Center. Wouldn't that be amazing?
I love the idea of an ITS operating like a metropolitan transport network, with its stops, hubs and connections—and, I suppose, its inevitable delays and breakdowns...
I started with the craziest and most fun series, based on iconic planets and moons from science fiction, such as the “lovely” moon LV-426, transformed into a tourist attraction thanks to its extensive xenomorph breeding facilities (recommended for tourists addicted to high-risk experiences), or Miller’s Planet, the small water world offering a unique panoramic view of Gargantua.
I’ll be expanding the series to include every planet, moon and asteroid in the Solar System, from human colonies on the solar rings of the Dyson Sphere to the most distant known outpost, the “Pale Blue Dot Lookout” (and its beautiful views of Earth), stopping along the way at Saturn’s Grand Central Station and its connections to the entire Solar System transport network.
But for now, take a look at some of these classic sci-fi destinations, book a tour package to Hoth, and enjoy a Tauntaun ride up to Clabburn Range Ski Resort.
